Hello, my name is Michelle Valerio, I have recently joined the FAIR team as Assistant to the President. I work at UFCW 8 as an Office Assistant. In my seven years with Local 8, I have been dedicated and loyal to my job and our members. That same level of commitment and dedication will carry over in my position with FAIR.

The Union life was first intro-duced to me when I was 10 from my step-father, a lifelong Team-ster. Having a Union job has helped me raise two awesome kids as a single parent. My son is 20, a union member, currently working at Safeway. My daughter is 17 and has one more year of high school. Last year we started volunteering at our local SPCA, walking and socializing with the dogs. Two months into our volun-teering adventure, we adopted a ten year old, eighty-pound lap dog who has brought much joy to our household which also includes two cats and a hamster.
